By creating an Etheralia Avatar and participating in the game you agree to the following:

1. You are at least 13 years old.

2. You have the permission of your parents or legal guardians (if under age 18).

3. You are responsible for your character and how it is used.  You will not give out your password and will claim responsibility for any damage done to your character by someone else using it with your permission.

4. You will not practice ANY of the following while playing this game:

   • Sexual Harassment

   • Discrimination (due to race, gender, religion or personal beliefs and preferences)

5. You will refrain from using offensive language in your posts.

6. You will immediately report any violations of these policies if you observe them taking place.

7. You will accept any measures taken by the Etheralia administrators to enforce these policies with the highest level of "punishment" being the deletion of your character and all related inventory it contained.  Donating to the game does not make you immune to these rules and any character possessing donation equipment will be handled in the same manner as any other if found in violation of these policies.

8. You will inform the Etheralia administrators of any system glitches you experience during play via the Technical Help Forum or via e-mail.

9. You understand that these policies may change over time and that you will be responsible for following any new rules deemed necessary in the future.

Service and Availability Policies:

1. While all efforts will be made to keep the world available at all times, no promises are made regarding availability due to program and server status.

2. Data backups are made on a regular basis and may be used in the case of a severe system problem.  The Etheralia administrators are not responsible for periods of time lost due to data recovery.

3. Length of operation of the Etheralia world is not guaranteed.  Currently the world is set to run indefinitely with no plans of changing that policy.  However, the Etheralia administrators reserve the right to immediately end service at any time without prior notice.

4. Donations made to Etheralia are non-refundable.  While consideration would be given to those who have donated in a time frame recent to such a time when the Etheralia world would cease to exist,  the administrators make no promises regarding compensation or the refunding of said donations. 

5. Etheralia will continue to be an evolving world throughout time.  Changes to the world and program logic may occur at any time.
